Iam not able to share internet in windows 8 from my macbook air…though my iphone ipad is connected to the hotspot well..tried everything but it seems to be different from windows 7 and other microsft operating systems setting. help!!
Can you share more specifics about what you do on your Windows 8 and what errors you receive?

I am having a personal hotspot on my mac. All my apple devices are able to access internet through it. Now when I am trying to connect my windows 8. It gives me an error “Can’t connect to this network”.
1. I tried manually adding the network..by going on “manually connect to wireless network”. There I enter my network name..security type as WEP (as on mac its on WEP encryption..I have set on 40bits)..then the security key..hit next..I got this option as ” Change connection settings” > Security.I cannot find the option “Shared” in it. All I see is
a. no authentication
b. WPA Personal
c. WPA2 Personal
d. WPA Enterprise
e. WPA2 Enterprise
f. 802.1X
So how to do this sharing..so that I can access internet on my windows 8 through my mac?
