Is there a way to geotag with a specific name which is not part of the “suggested” list ? The need appears for locations such as the summit of a mountain or as lake, or for a hamlet too small to be on the name list.

Is it possible to have captions appear on the photo or next to the photo when you’re viewing them in full screen or during a slide show? If so how?
I don’t have an answer, I have the exact same question because I am having to switch from Picasa (an awesome, but obsolete, photo organizer). I want to put captions ON the photo.
What do you mean “by comment”? Can you leave comments on your pictures in Photo Gallery?

When I do a search and type in “PO”……….looking for Powis Castle I get hundreds of photos appear. It appears to me the search is looking at all the camera information as well as the Tags I have input. I have a Canon Powershot camera, and it seems to be looking at the Po at the beginning of Powershot. How do I stop the search from looking at all the camera data.

I want my comment to appear on the photo for others to view? I’ve added a caption but it does not appear in a ribbon on the bottom of the picture. I’m the only one that can view it.

I am trying to find a way to view a single photo while having its caption overlaying on top of it. (Like when you click on a facebook photo and you see a written summary of the photo.) Is this possible? Do you have any alternative suggestions to Photo Live? Thank you for your time!

i’ve been searching and finding all my photos by the description tag
I have each one tagged,
for many years, i go from pictures…..takes me to search by tag…….i type in the name of the tag and there it is……..or there is was as i can no longer find my picture by description tag…….
you want me to rearrange each picture by group or file ……..why?
I have thousands of pics so that would take me forever
PLEASE LET ME GO BACK TO SEARCHING BY DESCRIPTION TAG

The article was published in 2013. Photo Gallery is no longer supported by Microsoft.
The only suggestion I have is to try using a shift-space. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
