Apple continues to find new ways to make their phones complicated. First removing the 1 jack for audio and then power, then removing the HOME BUTTON and now complicating turning Off the phone. I turned off the phone by going to General>Shut Off and then discovered the 2 Button approach (Volume plus Side button).

Really guys, it should not be rocket science to allow the side button to energize and de-energize the phone.

My son brought me an iPhone 12 since I’d never had one before. I’ve always been a Samsung or Motorola user and never had a desire to switch. With him being a lifelong iPhone user he wanted me to give it a try. I was completely blown away to discover that it took a combo of buttons to turn it off. How crazy! What a waste of time and energy and for what? Because people complained of their phones being turned off while in their pocket? Are you kidding! Because they don’t have their phone in a case, Apple has made it an issue for EVERYONE to deal with this? They change the phone for a “handful” of people so now we all deal with it! Does that make sense to you? Not me!
