How can internet speeds be higher than LAN speeds unless one is in Mbps and other in MBps?

Ciprian Adrian Rusen

I’m afraid the data you see is correct. The transfers made with LAN Speed Tests are in Mbps, not MBps. This test tool is not that great I’m afraid and I couldn’t find another one that measures download and upload speeds between two computers in the same network.

If you know other good alternatives, I would appreciate you sharing them.

The graph is showing speeds over ethernet (a cable), and wireless devices. Ethernet doesn’t mean internet.
