I have a flash drive that is encrypted by bitlocker in windows 8 . now I have windows 10 on my computer but my locked flash drive is not recognized by windows 10 and by its bitlocker.
my other flash drives that are not locked are recognized by windows 10

what if the bitlocker is on your hard drive? if you click on it, it says to access it must be unlocked, but does not give the option to type in a password????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WTF???????

[email protected] I used bitlocker on drive j the problem, i have bitlocker locked my thumb drive and I can not unlock it. Bit locker put the key on the thumb drive and I can not open it ? as i type drive J is still being encrypted its at 24.6% I hope when drive J is finished my thumb drive will be unlocked.Why did it lock my thumb drive??? help

This strategy worked up too
a certain point. However what if you don’t remember the password to
unlock Bitlocker on a USB drive? You can’t just open the Control panel and unlock it like that if it keeps asking you what the password is.
Believe me if it were that easy I would do it all the time.

If you don’t remember the password or have the recovery key to
unlock the USB drive what then is a good approach too be able too unlock the USB drive without messing up the files or anything stored in it?

i follow your steps but when click on unlock drive notification pc reponse me .”the bitlocker encryption on this drive isn’t compatible with your version of windows. try opening the drive using a newer version of window.” and i have window 10 pro
