This year we organized the second edition of our Digital Citizen Awards, in which we identified the best antivirus products for Windows. We also held a public vote, so that we could give our "Reader's Choice" award for this year. It is time to provide some statistics about the vote itself and extract the winners of our giveaway. Those of you who have voted are eligible to win one of 10 surprise prizes consisting of top-notch antivirus products. Who won and what are the prizes that we gave away? Let's find out:

The public vote for the best antivirus on the market - winner Bitdefender

In this article, we encouraged everyone to vote for their favorite antivirus. Then, we summarized all the votes and identified the most popular antivirus of the year, a title which we awarded to Bitdefender. 234 readers from all over the world have voted. Many of you were from the USA, others from India, New Zealand, Finland or Romania. The votes are split as in the pie chart below.

It is very clear that Bitdefender is a very popular brand of antivirus products and it wins this prize for the second year in a row. You can view last year's results here.

Our prizes for this giveaway

In order not to influence the public voting, we said we would give away 10 prizes for ten lucky winners, without naming the exact prizes. Today, we are giving away 5 licenses for one year and one PC of Bitdefender Total Security 2017 and 5 licenses for one year and one PC of Kaspersky Internet Security 2017.

We also extracted two backup winners. In most giveaways, it may happen that some of the initial winners do not reply to their e-mails. That is why, if some of the winners above don't reply to us, we will give their prizes to our backup winners. Our mission is to give the prizes to our readers, and we don't want to waste any of the licenses that we have available.
