Windows 10 claims 5.21% of the desktop OS market share in just one month - After a little more than a month since its release, Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows 10, has already captured 5.21% of the desktop market as of August. This is according to NetMarketshare, a firm which constantly monitors market shares for internet technologies.

Windows 10 “Threshold 2” update now slated for November release - Microsoft is currently working on it’s first non-patch update for Windows 10, currently codenamed Threshold 2 which was originally supposed to launch sometime in October. But now it appears that release window may have slipped ever so slightly, Threshold 2 will now launch in early November instead.

Asus announces VivoStick, a USB-sized PC Stick running Windows 10 for only $129 - VivoStick PC is Asus' implementation of the 'PC on a Stick' concept Intel demonstrated last year. Running a full version of Windows 10, and powered by an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor, the VivoStick is the perfect mini-PC for those who want a small, portable and inexpensive computer. Simply plug it into the HDMI port of a TV or monitor and you're good to go.

Skype Redesigned for Android, iPhone and iPad - Version 6.0 has been completely redesigned for both iOS and Android apps, which are now in lockstep with each other. For Google's ecosystem, the new layout took a page from the Android 5 "Material" playbook with circular icons and other touches. Other features include a floating action button to start new calls or chats (à la Facebook's Messenger), enhanced search and improved messaging. There are also custom ringtones, photo sharing and web link reviews to bring the app in line with rival messaging products like Google's Hangouts.

Microsoft’s continuum dock for phone will support 3x USB, HDMI and DisplayPort - One of the key features that will arrive with Windows 10 Mobile later this year is Continuum for the phone. This feature allows you to extend the mobile operating system on to a larger screen and then use Universal apps with a mouse and keyboard. This peripheral will make it easy to quickly connect/disconnect your phone from a larger display.

Microsoft Translator now integrated in Cortana on Windows 10 - Microsoft announced that the company has integrated Translator into Cortana in Windows 10. With the latest addition to Cortana, you can easily translate text between multiple languages.

Toshiba Announces UHD Satellite Radius 12, Satellite Radius 14, And Satellite Click 10 PCs At IFA - Toshiba announced a trio of convertible notebooks: two Satellite devices with a 360° hinge and the Satellite Click 10 which is a tablet with an attachable keyboard. It looks like Toshiba has gone all out here with some beautifully designed hardware and some impressive components.

Acer's coolest new PC lets you build a computer like Lego bricks - Acer is introducing a new PC called the Revo Build Series, which starts as a small core block and can then be built upon by adding new bricks on top of it. Imagine having a vertical tower of Lego pieces, only with every piece you add, the tower gains a new ability.

New Xbox One Elite Bundle and Lunar White Wireless Controller Offer Fans the Ultimate Gaming Experience - Microsoft's new Xbox One is getting an elite upgrade this fall. Elite Bundle features both the beautiful Elite controller announced at this year's E3 and a 1TB hybrid drive. The console will debut at GameStops and Microsoft Stores this November for $499.

Xbox boss dismisses rumors of an Xbox One Mini - Earlier this month, it was rumored that in addition to revealing new tablets, fitness bands, and smartphones, Microsoft would use its upcoming October launch event to show off a slimmer Xbox One. But Phil Spencer, Microsoft's head of Xbox, shot those rumors down last night, using Twitter to say that the rumored smaller version of the console is "not real."

This comes after recent news about the app being broken for many of its users.
