Microsoft Office 2016 now available to download [Update] - To grab the bits, all you need to do is login to Office.com and then navigate to My account where you will be prompted to install the new Office, upon clicking install, a 2.75mb web installer will download and the rest is taken care of by the installer.

Want to use Office on your new iPad Pro? Then you'll need an Office 365 subscription - The Office apps on the current iPads offer both viewing and editing documents for free. Install those same apps on the iPad Pro once it arrives in November, however, and all those editing features will go away. Microsoft Misses Self-Imposed Deadline To Release Skype Messaging Apps - Back in early July, Microsoft amended a blog post to say that the new Skype messaging apps for Windows 10 desktop would enter the preview stage by the end of the Summer. Windows 10 in China - Microsoft announced that it has partnered with Chinese web giant Baidu, as it continues its quest to push Windows 10 in the market. The deal will make Baidu.com the default homepage and search option for users of the Microsoft Edge browser in the country, will add an easy way for Baidu's 600 million-plus users to upgrade to Microsoft's new operating system, and will introduce universal Baidu search, video, cloud, and map apps to Windows 10.

Microsoft Band 2 leaked renders reveal new curved design and metallic finish - The site MicrosoftInsider.es reportedly got their hands on some renders of the device codenamed 'Envoy'. The images – if accurate – reveal what was reported back in July including a new curved display and availability in a wider swath of markets (the current Surface ones).
