What does Digital Citizen mean?

Depending on who you ask and where you look, the term digital citizen refers to a person who uses the internet regularly and effectively to engage in society, politics, or the government. Other definitions say that a digital citizen is the self-enactment of a person’s role in society through the use of digital technologies like websites, social networks, email, e-commerce, online journalism, etc.

If you are reading this page, you are a digital citizen. And we, the people writing the publication you’re currently reading, are digital citizens too. We’re passionate about technology, and our site, Digital Citizen, is a tech-focused publication that’s here to help you develop the skills and knowledge to use the internet, computers, smartphones, and gadgets of all types. Our ultimate goal is to help people become knowledgeable and productive digital citizens.🙂

The team

We’re a small independent team based in Romania comprised of just four people:

Even though we have known each other for over two decades, we have different personalities and skill sets. This is evident in the way we write and the subjects we approach. The company

Digital Citizen is owned by CITIZEN MEDIA SRL, a limited liability company located in a small town in Romania named Bușteni, on Telecabinei Street Nr. 54. For those who don't know, Romania is a relatively large Eastern European country and the sixth-most populous member state of the European Union. It is also known as the birthplace of Nadia Comăneci, Sebastian Stan (the actor playing Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), and the fictional but infamous Dracula.
